Sooo... I have been super confused

and a bit ashamed the last couple days.

On Wednesday I was dumb and took a PG test. I KNEW I wasn't PG. But my boobs were hurting and since I never actually TOOK one last cycle, the wild crazy theories were going through my head and I needed to silence them.

And this is what I saw.

For those who aren't as crazy as me... I saw a VERY (I can't say VERY enough) slight line.

Now, I knew that at that point FF said I was only 5DPO, but I missed a day in there, and it's possible that I Oed a few days earlier.

After obsessing with my friend Shannon, (the ONLY person I told because she has been in the trenches and understood my neuroses) I picked up some digital tests to take the next morning.

Thursday morning (at 5 am before DH went to work) the digital was negative. I then obsessed some more and picked up some pink dye FRER tests. BFN

And again this morning, because again- I'm crazy- BFN.

So I have decided that it was a fluke... and I hate it.

FYI- this pic was taken about 3 minutes after I took the test. So NOT an evap line.

So yeah.... you wouldn't want to be in my head right now. It's not a good place to be.

  1. Hoooooold up. Listen - if you were only 5dpo at the time you took the first test (and I think after 2 more days of testing, and using pink dye FRERs, you'd probably have a light bfp, so I agree that the first must have been a fluke), you are still too early to get a real positive/negative. It's not over until AF shows, and she hasn't! And even if it's not a bfp, you guys are working with the RE now and you'll have your testing done and a plan in place before you know it! There's still so much to be positive about! Hang in there, gorgeous!

  2. I see a shadow of something there for sure. But implantation takes about 8 days, so I'm not sure anyone at all could get a positive test 5 or 6 dpo. So that's the bad news.
The good news is that it's still early and anything can happen! (yeah I know, if someone told me that I'd be like "shut up.") ;)

  3. MK - she missed one critical day of temping...when she messed around with temps on that day, it gave her the possibility of actually being 8 or 9dpo, instead of 5dpo. So she's not totally nuts hahaha :)

  4. Take deep breaths...and don't POAS again for a bit!

    Happy ICLW!

  5. Oh I would be going nuts. I agree with the other posters. Wait a few days (I know very hard) and then test again when you are almost 12-14 dpo.

  6. Ugh that is so upsetting ... hang in there ... maybe it will still turn out ok in a few more days. Thinking of you.

  7. LOL Shannon- no I'm not crazy! I am actually in a super good mood, thankfully.

I am definitely not going to POAS for a while. I have a distraction thankfully.

  8. Hope you get your BFP sooner rather than later. I can't relate to wanting to POAS asap because I never did til I was at least 2 to 3 weeks overdue with AF with all 7 of mine.

    Keeping everything crossed for you.

  9. Oh, I'm sorry! I hate testing early because I always wonder too and then I still hope until the RE's office confirms a negative (My RE requires a blood test each cycle) or until AF shows up.
    HUGS!

  11. I feel like this post brought me back to when I too was looking at lines trying to make sense of them. I'm so sorry. This is so so so difficult and so unfair. I hope you get your BFP very soon.
